At Lesego K Foundation, we exist because too many girls are forced to choose between dignity and education. Lesego Kgwele, founder of Lesego K Foundation,
started this journey with a simple but powerful belief:
no girl should miss school or feel ashamed because of her
period.
Having witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by female students
in her community, Lesego was inspired to create a solution that
combines practical support with innovation.
Lesego is currently a 2nd Computer Science and Informatics student
at the University of Johannesburg, specialising in Artificial
Intelligence. Her academic background plays a key role in shaping
the foundation’s direction: blending technology, systems thinking
and innovation to create sustainable impact.
Through initiatives like Pixels & Pads, she
combines digital skills with social good — building professional
websites for businesses while using the model to support sanitary
pad distribution and menstrual health awareness for school girls.

Pads & Pixels is our signature donation drive where we create websites for small businesses in exchange for contributions. Each website built funds the distribution of sanitary pads to students in need. This campaign combines digital creativity with philanthropy, empowering students while supporting local businesses.
